In Loving Memory of a Cherished Wife and mother Celebrating a Life Well Lived.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved wife and mother. Marilyn (Theresa) Latoski on May 7, 2025 at the age of 83 years. She was a beacon of love, wisdom, and strength to all who loved her. Born in Edmonton in 1941, married her love. David Latoski, in 1991. She was a wife of faith, a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Her life touched the hearts of many with her generosity and compassion. Her greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her sister, Carol Mistal and her brother, Harvey Deagle, four children; Terry Ropchan, Penny Huggins, Tammy Amyotte (Laurier), Tracy Romans (Sean); eight grandchildren: Amanda, Jori, Kira, Aidan, Mariah, Layne, Sydney, Aaron, and one great grandchild- Tanner. All were the light of her life. Marilyn had a creative flair for gardening, sewing and music. Her passion for music at a young age, influenced her decision to become a piano teacher which she enjoyed for nearly 30 years.

She was an avid gardener, whether it was vegetables or flowers.

She had the natural ability to bring all to their fullest potential and beauty. Marilyn will be sadly missed by family and friends,

She was pre-deceased by her parents, Bernard & Rita Deagle, a sister Elaine, and brothers Tim and Bill.

A Memorial Service of her Life will be held at
Red Willow Community Church on May 18, 2025, at 3pm

  1. Dear Tammy, Tracy, and Penny,

I’ve been thinking of you all so much over the past few days. I know how hard this time has been, and I want to extend my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your mom.

She must have been an incredible woman to have raised three such strong and amazing daughters.

Please know I’m here for you—whether it’s to talk, to help, or simply to give you space when you need it.

    With sympathy and care,

  2. To the family of Marilyn,

It saddens me to learn of Marilyn’s passing. I am so sorry for your loss. I was lucky to have Marilyn as my piano teacher where I took lessons in the comfort of her home. She always made me feel welcome and comfortable. She had beautiful pictures of her children’s graduating pictures in her living room. She was kind and patient and I enjoyed learning from her and being in her company. I hope you all will remember her fondly and may the music from all the grandchildren bring you joy, as you think of Marilyn.

  3. We are so sorry for your loss, may you find peace and comfort in your wonderful memories you shared. I’ll always remember Marilyn as a talented lady and a great gardener, our exchange of veggies, baking, across the fence, and especially our wonderful chats. Dave, and family, our condolences 🙏🏼😢, she was a very special lady and will be missed. May she rest in peace.

  4. I am deeply sorry to hear this sad news of Marilyn passing. My sincere condolences to all the family. Marilyn had the most beautiful smile and warm personality. Rest peacefully in the arms of our heavenly father, Marilyn.
    You will be missed .

  5. My heartfelt condolences to you David. Reading her obituary, I can see that she has been a pillar of support to you and your family. Hope you are able to cope with the loss.

  6. I am saddened to read of her passing. She came into my mind today, and it occurred to me to google her name and saw she only passed a couple of weeks ago. She was my piano teacher as a child, and honestly she had the patience level of a saint. I had no talent but I tried, and she got as much out of me as anyone could have. Sending my condolences.

    Jaime Gonek
