It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mary Jo (Joey) Brown of Edmonton, Alberta, on June 30, 2022.

She is survived by her sons Aron and Jordan (Christine, Joshua, Jacob)

Joey loved her pets and her garden; but, most of all, Joey had a deep love for her grandchildren, Joshua and Jacob. Her energetic and youthful attitude brought great joy as she played with them in her well-tended garden and she will be dearly missed.

  1. We are so sorry to hear of your loss. We have such great memories of your mom. We are thinking of you at this time.

  2. My deepest condolences go out to all who loved Joey; her siblings Mike and Laurie, her children, Aron and Jordon and families. Joey, Mike and I go back to our early childhood days growing up in Windsor, Ontario. Rest In Peace and comfort my friend.

    Missing you

    Betty Cloutier.

  3. Aron and Jordan,

I am deeply saddened by your loss. Your mother was a great woman and did a wonderful job raising you. I have such fond memories of hanging out in your backyard and your mom being so gracious and hospitable. My family and I are praying for peace as you grieve.

  4. To Mary Jo’s children.

I only remember your mom as young boy out at our family cottage at B-Say-Tah, Saskatchewan back in the 1960’s. She was very out going, talkative
    and full of life.
    I wish you all well.
Addie Niesner and family from Regina.

  5. I never met Joey in person but we have been FaceBook friends for several years. I was always inspired by her deep faith in her Lord, Jesus Christ as she posted about her journey through cancer. I know that she is with Him now and that gives me hope that we will meet some day! My deepest condolences to all who are mourning her loss.

  6. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. All my thoughts are with your family.

  7. I had the opportunity to speak with Joey on several occasions. She always came off as a compassionate and caring person, concerned with the well being of others. I am sad for my friend Aron and for the rest of the family that I have never met. Deepest sympathies for your loss.

  8. Deep sadness filled my heart as I read this today. Joey you were so courageous! You never stopped believing you would be healed but most of all you ever stopped believing in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. I will miss our chats on FB and I will see you again in Heaven! your friend Lois

  9. My thoughts and prayers are with the loss of your Mother. She had been a neighbor for many years. Remember her making sure my Dad Wayne was doing oka

  10. I just learned today of your mother’s passing & it left my heart hurting for all her loved ones. She loved you guys & family deeply, & she could talk hours about those 2 grandsons.
There is no doubt in my mind that the good Lord has His arms wrapped about Joey. She was a good, Christian woman…and a wonderful friend.
Sincere condolences to her family & friends.
