It is with saddened hearts and much love we mourn the passing of Stuart Loy on January 25, 2024, at the age of 63 years.

Stuart is remembered by his loving wife, Jackie; daughter Melissa, son-in-law Wes Pritchard and his two beautiful grandchildren, Elijah and Elena.

He is survived by his sisters Linda (Steve) Yaremie, and Susan (Cecil) Budney and many nieces and nephews and their families. He is predeceased by his parents Ed and Agnes Loy.

Stuart enjoyed delivering movies to the theatres in northern Alberta for 30 years. Along with his family, Stuart spent his final years in the town of Peers, AB, quadding, jeeping, and taking in all the peacefulness the country had to offer. Before that, he spent a lot of quality time with his family at his sister's farm in Andrew, AB.

He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his family.

There will be a Celebration of Life on February 3, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Trinity Funeral Home, 10530 116 St, Edmonton, Alberta. A private burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

  5. I met Stuart many years ago when he started dating Jackie. He was just someone you instantly liked and clicked with. Over the years we have remained friends, enjoyed weekend camping trips, quading and get togethers. He was always the life of the party. He was so proud to become a Gido and, no surprise to me, he was a natural! He was full of life and he adored Jackie and always referred to her as his child bride..after all the years they’ve been together. And it didn’t matter to him if you were 20 or 80, he’d always greet the women in his life with “Hello Pretty Lady”. He had a way of making everyone feel special and loved. I’m going to miss his smile, his laugh, his bear hugs and just for being himself 100% of the time. He definitely has left a big hole in everyone’s heart that knew and loved him. He has left us with many wonderful memories. Jackie, Melissa, Wes and Family….my sincere condelences to you all. My heart goes out to you and know that I’m here if you need anything. Love You All <3
