Val M Brown
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Val M. Brown, of St. Albert, on March 23, 2026, at the age of 83.
He is survived by his beloved wife, the one who knew his heart best and still feels his presence, Dorothy Wakaruk. Loving father to his son Jamie (Shannon), daughters Bonnie (Brian) van Essen, Vicki (Robby) Desaulnier and Karlie (Eric) Labelle and Tracy O'Neill (Ron) and family. Cherished Papa to Zackary, Madelyn, Quinn, Grace, Emerson, Jacquelyne, Juliette and Caleb. Dear brother to Audrey (Ken) Spencer and his late sister Arla (Ken) Green.
Val was a very sociable person who loved making people laugh and cheering for the Oilers.

Val was truly a gem that touched everyone’s hearts who knew and had the privilege of knowing him. His laughter was contagious and his jokes were even better. He will be solemnly missed. I’m glad he got to spend his last years with the woman he adored and truly loved more than his life himself, Dorothy.
My dearest sympathies to Dorothy, the family and friends of Val. He was a beautiful person and will be missed
To Dorothy, Jamie, Bonnie, Vicki, Carly and your families, we are so saddened to hear of Val’s passing. Although we hadn’t been in contact for a bit, his loss is a hard one. Val had been such a big part of Bruce and his family over the years and when I came along, he welcomed me with open arms. When Dorothy came into his and our lives we spent such wonderful times, like our couple of years in Yuma. There was never a dull moment when Val was around. He will never be forgotten. Love & Hutton hugs to you all. B & J
Val “no flame, no claim” Brown. I worked with him for many years and he always had the best one liners. My deepest condolences.
