October 20, 2011 1 Condolence Print Obituary

Born in Camrose, AB on March 20, 1960, Walter passed away peacefully this past August in the wilderness he loved so much. He leaves to mourn his passing his mother Hanne, 3 sisters, 4 brothers, their spouses, 4 nieces, 6 nephews and a number of faithful friends. Walter was predeceased by his father Walter T. in 1996.
Walter constantly explored and sought out unique and wonderful areas that most people would never have known existed. From north of the Arctic Circle to Baja California and many points in between, Walter always gravitated towards areas that were off the beaten path and unknown to most. It was in such an area that Walter passed away.
Walter’s family wish to express their gratitude to the members of the Leduc RCMP and the many Search and Rescue volunteers who gave so tirelessly of their time and support.

  1. Dear David and families of Walter…I am so sorry for your loss but sure you are all grateful that he passed away where he liked to live the most. Would that all of us could be so fortunate when our time comes. Though I did not know Walter, I feel that If he was similar in nature to the man and friend that I have come to know in David, he will be sorely missed.
