January 13, 2021 1 Condolence Print Obituary Send Flowers

It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Roger Wince, who passed away on January 10, 2021.

Roger will be lovingly remembered by his wife of sixty years, Lynette; his children Sandi Pullishy (Darryl Baker), Karen Viens(Guy), and Trevor (Andrea Kopylech); his grandchildren Lisa(Chad), Ryan, Shaun, Erin, Jessica, Nathan, Joel, Alexa, Tomas, and Katy; and his great grandchildren Elika, Eli, Declan and Connor. He was predeceased by his parents Adolph and Paulina Wince, his brothers John and Ken Wince, and sisters Patty Wince and Florence. He also leaves behind to mourn his loss, his sisters Joyce Perrault (Ron), Doreen Gust (Bill) and his brother Ron Wince (Gayle), along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Stories from Roger’s family and friends will tell of his great sense of humour, his strong work ethic and his willingness to lend a helping hand. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He lived a great life filled with travel adventures, summers at the lake, winters skiing, and many moments of celebration. Roger’s generosity extended into the greater community and he enjoyed giving back through his volunteer efforts with the Edmonton Food Bank and Edmonton Seniors’ group.

Roger was dedicated to his family and friends and will be missed by all who loved him.

The family would like to extend their thanks to all those who provided great care for Roger during his long struggle with Alzheimer’s.

A memorial celebrating Roger’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to support finding a cure for Alzheimer’s through the University Hospital Foundation, https://givetouhf.ca/alzheimers/

May his memory be eternal.

  1. Dear Lynette, I’m so sorry for your loss. When I would look after Roger, he loved to watch golf, which I knew nothing about, but it made me want to learn more. When he wanted to watch boxing, I had to look away sometimes. Loved spending time with both of you!
