Condolences to Bernie’s family
My condolences to my cousin Bernie Allen’s family. He regularly “babysat” the four of us Titus siblings while our parents were square dancing and when Aunt Henny wasn’t available. I remember him as he looks in this photo.
Hello So sad to hear of Bernie”s passing. You may not know me but I grew up with him.His mother was my grandmothers sister so we were cousins. I lost track of him when we moved away from the beach when I was 12 years old but connected once in a phone call when I was in Calgary.Sending hugs and prayers to his family and friends.
My condolences to my cousin Bernie Allen’s family. I recall he used to babysit my siblings and I from time to time.
My Uncle Bernie and I were the best of friends growing up, with many shared adventures at the home of Nan and Gramps at the Beach and at our home in Upper Granville. We always got a chuckle out of the fact that Bernie the uncle was a year younger than Bob the nephew, but even without that funny detail it was a very special and close friendship all through our early years, from toddlers to teens. When I went to university, Bernie spent some time with my wife Jan and I in Halifax, and we thought a lot of him with good reason, for he was a great character as well as a friend. Soon he moved to Alberta and sadly we only saw him once or twice after that. I wish we could have had more times to catch up. He was a steadfast friend to me and it is a great sorrow to hear that he is gone. Jan and I send our condolences to Trish, Sam, Raya and Cameron. It is good to know that Bernie had the love of daughters and grandchildren in his life. Best wishes, Bob Howse.
My condolences To the family. Bernie and I were 1st. cousins and grew up in Victoria Beach. May you all knew he loved each one of you. God Bless.
Please accept my deepest condolences to Bernie’s Family. I was lucky enough to work with him in Retail. We got along well and talked about topics that interested us both. I am saddened by his leaving us but I know there’s a boat and fish for him eternally.
I miss you Bernie as I hold my glass high to you.
