February 24, 2018 4 Condolences Print Obituary Send Flowers

January 10, 1935 - February 19, 2018

Loving husband of Beatrice Blossom nee Jayewardene, kind father of Anne-Marie, Shani Powell, Sonali Cull, Thushara, Tamara, and grandfather of Sierra.

He lived a life of service to humanity - educating and changing many people's lives. In spite of very serious health trials since he was 12 years old, he achieved great heights in his education and career.

His last days were spent fighting an aggressive form of cancer, finally succumbing after a challenging battle - at Northern Lights Regional Hospital in Fort McMurray.

He will now rest in peace in Jesus' love and care.

  1. Love u much dad. We will miss your singing, love of adventure and travel, humour, gentleness, unconditional love to all. We are happy that you are out of suffering and in the arms of Jesus, but we will miss hearing your voice, your hugs, and your encouragement to achieve things. I will always hear you say ‘no problem, no problem. Just go for it’. Dad, every single person says you were a very special person. I look forward to the day we are reunited in heaven. ❤️ Anne-Marie

    • I’m very sorry for your loss, Anne Marie. He must have made you proud of him, his values and his accomplishments. I’m sure your own courage and determination in the face of suffering are influenced by him. He sounds like a great father. God continue to bless you and keep you.
