It is with great sorrow that his family announces his passing.
Adrian was a kind, gentle, loving father and friend. He leaves behind his daughter Carmen Helvert, two siblings Ben van Helvert and Theresa Raven as well as his pride and joy, his two grand children Daniel and Kayley.
Adrian was predeceased by his parents Gysbert and Jacoba as well as his sister Louise Hemmes. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. In his words, “If you didn’t buy me flowers while I was alive, please don’t do it when I’m dead. Do something kind for someone else instead.”

I met Adrian in the hospital the end of February and not only was he my roomie, but we became friends. I spent hours talking with him and sharing many laughs. Peace and God bless you dear Adrian and you wonderful family!
