Brendon James Guenette
Brendon Guenette, age 45, of Edmonton, Alberta, passed away on March 2, 2026.
Brendon was born in Edmonton on June 23, 1980, to Jacqueline Dzioba and Gerald Guenette. He grew up surrounded by family and friends and was known for his generous heart and caring spirit.
Affectionately known as “B,” Brendon earned the nickname because he was always busy—like a busy bee. He was rarely still and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. Brendon was especially known for his kindness and compassion toward those less fortunate, always willing to give whatever he could to help others.
Even in passing, Brendon’s generosity continued. Through organ donation, he was able to give the gift of life to three people, leaving a lasting legacy of hope and compassion.
Brendon is survived by his loving mother, Jacqueline Dzioba; his brother Jeremy (Colette); his sisters Melissa (Corey) and Sarah (Wayne); and his loyal best friend, Roxy. He will also be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews: Brie Anna, Silas, Nevaeh, Madison, Maëlle, Ellis, Laila, and Kennedy, along with cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends who were fortunate to know him.
He was predeceased by his father, Gerald Guenette; his grandparents, Jean and John Dzioba and Doris and Lawrence Guenette; and his former partner, Kari. Though life took them on different paths, they remained friends and shared a deep and meaningful connection. They both faced difficult journeys, and in passing, we take comfort in believing they are reunited two souls at peace on a new journey together.
Brendon will always be remembered as a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. His kindness, generosity, and the love he shared with others will never be forgotten by the many people whose lives he touched.
