Surrounded by his loving family, Candido do Ceu Bento passed away peacefully on April 20, 2023.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 50 years, Maria Barbara; one son John and two daughters, Elsa (Ruben) and Cindy. He was predeceased by his parents; Maria Do Ceu and Alexander and one granddaughter Selena Abigail as well as many siblings, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Candido was neighbourly -always ready to offer his hand to help and when he couldnt help-he had a better tool.
Our family is saddened for your families loss.
He was cherished and loved by each of you and a true neighbour and friend.
( I know Chris greeted him in heaven with love and thanks for all he did for us after his passing )

Our Condolences to the family. Candido had a wealth of knowledge, was always their to lend a hand, and had great stories to tell. He will be missed dearly.

Ed & I will very much miss our daily warm weather visits with Candido who loved to relax in our garden with a cigarette or 2, a Coke & good conversation.
Candido loved to help in our yard – using his log splitter to split wood, his power hose to clean the patio or help with setting up the fish pond. After all the work was done, Candido enjoyed an evening fire with us & the roasted potatoes & smokies our son Michael cooked on the fire.
He often exchanged his lettuce or cucumbers for baby carrots & our specialty tomatoes.
He enjoyed our company in his home offering his much loved shrimp for a treat at Christmas.
We are so sad at the loss of this wonderful neighbour.
Our prays are with you as you mourn this beautiful man – a husband, father, neighbour.

He was such a kind soul and we did alot together over the years. Building and repairing things, ice fishing and fires and coffee on our steps, and eating at our homes. We missed his company. We thank our Lord in all our remembrance of Candido. He is truly a precious sight to our Lord. Rest in peace Candido.
