    • Hello Debbie

This is Marilyn (Plant) Burans. I’m Carol’s cousin. My father, Jim, was Isabel’s brother. I’m not sure if you’ll remember, but I am a year younger than Jim, who if I recall was the same age as your older brother. We’d see you/your family from time to time, when we visited our grandparents or Isabel and Gord.

      I hope you are well.

I was not aware that Carol had passed away. We spoke to each other three times a year for the last many years, her birthday, my birthday and Christmas. I have been trying to call her and email her – obviously without success, and I was worried.

The last conversation, my birthday, she indicated that she was still doing quite well, the tumour in her lungs had grown, but just a bit. Obviously, her health deteriorated.

I’m wondering if you could either email me or call me if you can provide me with any information. I had asked Carol to give my name, number, information to someone who could get in touch with me should her health deteriorate, but I haven’t heard from anyone. I am saddened that I was not aware of her decline.

I live in Kanata, home phone 613-592-8837, cell 613-462-8887 and my email is marilyn.burans@gmail.com

      Thanking you in advance.

      Kind regards,
      Marilyn

  2. My sister Mariyn just called me to say that our cousin Carol had passed. I was the youngest in our family and so did not know Carol as well as my sisters Marilyn and Barbara. who were closest in age to Carol and her brother Jim. We knew that she had been dealing with lung cancer for some time. Marilyn always spoke with Carol on their respective birthdays in April and at Christmas time. This year she wondered why she had not heard from Carol and her emails were not being delivered. It was sad to hear that she had passed in the summer and no one had contacted her remaining family who is in Ottawa. Thanks to whomever wrote this but Carol mothers name was Isabel Gladys Anderson (Plant) and her father was Gordon (Gord) Anderson and she was also predeased by her brother Jim (James) so you might like to correct this information.
