David Byron Morgan
Through grief and with love the family of David Byron Morgan announces his passing.
Born on August 8, 1939 in Ottawa, Ontario, predeceased by his parents Harold and Pauline, his brothers Ken and John (and sister-in-law Marlene), and niece, Kim, David departed on April 18, 2026 in Edmonton, Alberta.
He is survived by his lovingly devoted, long time partner Margret Hein, niece Laree (Bob), nephew Bryan, and many other extended family members, all of whom will miss his laughter at family gatherings.
David was modest, gentle, and generous; he was full of humor and kindness. ‘Uncle Dave’ was a favourite Uncle, and even the youngest of the family were always excited to see him. He was the fun Uncle who was always ready with a joke, up for a tickle-fight, or had a trick up his sleeve.
He enjoyed working with his hands, and could be found fixing up old cars, building his model train city, or tending the garden with Margret.
David was knowledgeable, always there for others, and was a great story teller. He would tell of his youth, travels, and even made day-to-day life sound like a great adventure.
He was loved immensely, and his peaceful presence will be sorely missed by all who had the great pleasure of knowing David Morgan.
