Debra, Miriam, and Freda,
I have rarely seen a human who put family first as incredibly as Dave did. His longterm care of Doreen was devoted, patient, kind, unselfish and loyal.
It was an inspiration to meet him and to be his neighbour – although for only a short time. We travel in winter so had less time to spend together. He has left so much love with everyone as his legacy and he will be remembered as long as we live.
Our deepest sympathy to Debra, Miriam and Freda. Dave and Doreen shared their love and kindness with me and my family. They also shared the faith that they so strongly believed in. When you went to visit with them you always felt like you were someone special, always welcomed with a big smile and a warm hug.
We will miss the shared tea and picking apple’s and playing train domino’s. So thankful to have been so fortunate to have had them in our life here on earth.

Dear Debbie and Miriam, and Freda. I will always remember David with much fondness. He was always so kind to me and the girls. His love for the Lord was very evident by how much he loved his family and that family came first. Sending much love and prayers
Dave Esslinger was an amazing husband, father, friend, and a strong Christian man whose faith and quiet strength touched every life he encountered. Though not tall in stature, Dave was truly a gentle giant. His soft-spoken nature carried weight, and when he did speak, it was with wisdom, warmth, and a wonderful sense of humor. It was simply impossible not to love him.
I will always be grateful for the sweet memory of seeing Dave on his tractor on his beloved farm, where he and his family showed us unforgettable hospitality during our visit to Edmonton. He and Doreen also visited us in Arkansas, and those precious times spent together are cherished by my entire family — including my parents, who held them in the highest regard.
Dave will be deeply missed. But we take comfort in the promise that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Rejoice now, Dave, reunited with dear Doreen and those who’ve gone before. Know that your daughters, Deb and Miriam, and all who knew you, will carry your love in their hearts forever.

Our condolences to both of you: Miriam and Deborah. Your parents were wonderful, and your father was such an interesting and well spoken gentleman. We had many discussions about the development and people who had lived here. He shared pictures of the development for the file archive that the previous owner had left. He told me when we chatted a short while ago that he and Doreen had lived a long life (a good life). He was so devoted and attentive to your mother … now he will be with her in heaven.
Debbie & Miriam ,
Our deepest sympathies to you on the passing of both your mom and dad in such a short period of time.
Good byes are always so difficult but take comfort in knowing that Dave and Doreen are reunited and free from all their earthly struggles and challenges .
We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as you embark on this new chapter of your lives.
Our sincere condolences,
Rod & Brenda Kittlitz
Our condolences to you Miriam and Debbie. We were fortunate to have known such a great man as your father, Dave. He left a great legacy, of how to live and care for others. Dave will forgive us not attending his celebration of life as we are in Saskatchewan attending a gospel concert which he always loved doing them as well.
Herb and Bonnie.
