David (Dave) Michael Lake
It is with great sadness that the family of David Lake announces his passing on July 05, 2026.
Dave will be lovingly remembered by his children Fraser (Morgan), Daniel, Joshua, and Camilla (Keaton); his brother Gordon (Shelly) Lake; his sister Brenda Needham; his many nephews and nieces, great-nephews and great niece, family, friends, and Judylynn.
Dave was predeceased by his parents, Fraser and Sharon; as well as his in-laws, Vicky and Michael, and numerous aunts and uncles who are dearly loved and greatly missed.
Born in Red Deer, Dave spent most of his life in Edmonton. He had a passion for long-haul truck driving and treasured the memories he made participating in sleigh rides. Dave had loved his kids with all his heart and there was not any thing he wouldn’t do for them. He also had a special love for his pets, who brought him great companionship over the years.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Miller Crossing for the compassionate care Dave received.
In keeping with his wishes, Dave’s ashes will be spread along side those of his mother and father in the near future.

Dear Judy Lynn and children. Although we never had the opportunity to spend time with you and get to know you. We want you to know that David was a dear nephew. I remember the times we played with him and Gord and Brenda at my mom’s house or “grandmas” house in Olds. I was closest in age as the youngest auntie. We are so very sorry for your loss .

I send my condolences to the family. Dave was a big part of my teenage life. We were best friends and did everything together. He had this old Ford Fairmont car and drove the wheels off lt although a very good driver he was he was crazy in that car lol . l was seven years younger than Dave He kind of took me under his wing his family was always good to me but Fraser scared the hell out of me lol if you knew Fraser too funny. Unfortunately Dave and I didn’t see much of each other over the later years as I was in show business and
travelled around the world and Dave was driving a truck and was gone most of the time.
we kinda reconnected when I found out He lived only five minutes from me in the Clearview coincidence the Fraser area.
But our schedules never aligned. I will think about you my friend I’ll be there soon one day. I’ll see you on the other side with some of our other buddies who have passed before us hey dave do you think God will maybe let us take your stupid car for another ride and terrorize the golden streets rest in peace my old pal.

My deepest condolences to the family and extended family. As one of David’s sister’s dearest friends since my youth, David has been a part of my life for about five decades. While it is with great remorse and sadness that he has passed, I will cherish his kindness and warmth in my thoughts and heart for many years.
