It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, papa, and nonno on October 22, 2026, at the age of 74 years.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 51 years, Maria; children, Jason (Angela) and Melissa (Robin); his cherished granddaughters, Alessandra and Janessa; his siblings Lina, Anna, Eligio (Adriana), Eraldo, mother-in-law Annina and sister-in-law Franca (Ron); numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many relatives in Italy and dear friends.

Joe was predeceased by his parents, Mario and Assunta; brothers, Vincenzo, Silvano, Pasquale, and father-in-law Francesco Giordano.

Joe will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generosity, and kind heart. Proud of his Italian heritage, he embraced its traditions, loved good food, and never passed up a good espresso. He had a passion for billiards, card games, and sports, and he especially treasured the time he spent with his family. His granddaughters were the light of his life and meant the world to him. His unforgettable sense of humour, quick wit, and playful pranks kept everyone on their toes and there was never a dull moment when he was around.

The family takes comfort in knowing that Joe spent his final months sitting on his garden swing, listening to the birds and watching the clouds drift by. They find peace in knowing he is now at rest. His love and memories will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Joe’s memory to The Kidney Foundation of Canada 880-5160 Decarie Blvd. Montreal, QC H3X 2H9.

A private cremation ceremony will be held for Joe at a future date.
