Gordon Scott Hersberger
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gordon Scott Hersberger, who left us peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the age of 76.
Gordon was Born on Monday, June 20, 1949 in Sudbury, Ontario. The family returned to Milden, Saskatchewan shortly there after. After Graduation he made Edmonton, Alberta his home. Gordon dedicated his career to the field of Industrial Sales, where his integrity and dedication earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.
Upon retirement he returned to Milden, bought an acerage and renewed old friendships. Coffee Row in Milden was the place to be to share good times and stories. He played the ukulele and brought his music to town and soon there were ukulele players from Dinsmore joining Milden players. The group is going strong, now called The Treble Makers.
His other great delight was helping Murray Bell at Harvest piloting a 9500 John Deere Combine, one without the GPS. He would return to Edmonton each winter but not until he could help move Murray's cows down from the summer pasture.
He traded his fishing boats, snow mobiles and motorcycles for riding mowers, Kubota tractors, John Deere Gaters and Combines and was very content to sit on the back deck and watch the purple martins make their home in his yard.
Arrangements for Gordon have been entrusted to Trinity Funeral Home. At this time details of of a memorial service will be shared with family and friends in due course.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly suggests donations be made in Gordon's memory to a charity of your choice.
At this time Gordon's passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who knew him. Let us remember his life with the laughter and joy he shared with all of us. May his soul rest in peace.
Gordon was predeceased by his parents Craig and Dorothy Hersberger. A man of kindness, perserverence, decency and warmth, Gordon was deeply loved and will be forever missed by his wife Jean, his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
