Grace Sklerek
Passed Away January 22, 2025
On January 22, 2025, Grace Sklerek, of Vilna, Alberta, passed away at the age of 94.
Predeceased by her husband Mike Sklerek (2005), oldest son Len in (2021), grandson Michael (2023) and 3 sisters, Grace is survived by her children Terry Sklerek and Perry (Marilee) Sklerek of Vilna, sisters Elaine Dereniwsky of BC and Shirley (Sid) Hryhoruk of Saskatchewan as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Society, in Grace’s name.
Grace touched the hearts of many. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
I will never forget the first time I met Grace at her farm home at Vilna. A proud, strong country lady with an open honesty about life. If she said it, she meant it. I loved her instantly.
To all her family, my condolences. To Terry, your Mom Grace taught you to be strong and resilient. She will always be with you, in your heart and soul.
On behalf of my wife Soraiya, children Starri and Tyler we extend our deepest sympathy to Terry and Perry. Grace and Mike gave to my family over 45 years of a most caring, and sincere relationship. Grace was most generous and loving- always ready to serve us the best of home-made pies and the most delicious brewed tea. Her smile,stories and honesty were always present when we visited and her loss is deeply felt.

She will always be remembered for having a smile on her face a kind word for everyone.
We had so much fun at the Vilna Lodge with Grace. She was always happy and could roll cabbage rolls with her eyes closed! She taught me how to make perogies and we teased each other relentlessly. She will always hold a special place in my heart and will be missed by many.
Auntie Grace was such a beautiful soul, loved everyone & loved by everyone.
She will be in our hearts forever 💕
