Irene Beatrice Shemko
December 13, 1934 - May 4, 2021
It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that the family of Irene Beatrice Shemko announce her peaceful passing on May 4, 2021 at the age of 86.
Irene will be lovingly remembered by Sam, her husband of 57 years, children Grant, Bruce (Lisa), Gayle (Wayne) and Wendy (Nick), grandchildren Breanne and Dustin as well as numerous extended family and close friends.
Mom always portrayed amazing strength, generosity, love and devotion to her family, even in her final moments.
A Celebration of Irene’s Life will be held at a later date.
My deepest sympathies go out to you all. Mama Shemm was such an amazing women, words cannot describe her love, care and kindness. She will forever remain in my heart, she was truly my second mom. I hope all the memories you all have of her bring some comfort to you all. The world was blessed with this kind soul and now we have an amazing angel to watch over us all. Love Kimmy.

My heartfelt condolences on Irene’s passing. I will remember Irene for her generosity, kindness , and caring. She was a great hostess and always welcomed my family for a visit. She had a good sense of humour and was always fun to be with. I will miss her
and forever remember all the social visits and coffee breaks we had at Tim Hortons. Rest In Peace my “special” friend.
