James Lyaal McIntyre
It is with extreme heavy hearts that we share the passing of this amazing and special man. A wonderful husband of 65 years, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa.
A man who loved his family with all he had. Generous beyond measure, Jim was an avid sports fan, especially the Oilers and Junior hockey, as well as baseball and curling. He worked hard in the oilfield to raise his large family and collected many others we brought home. Dad always had an open door policy. Through his many years in the oilfield he amassed many friends and colleagues that kept in contact through the years.
He loved fishing, skeet shooting, but most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.
We will miss our hero a lifetime and honor his memory with love and pride.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lorna; his children Stephen, Cathy, Cheryl (Farley), Shawn (Lisa), and Carrie; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many friends and extended family. Predeceased by his parents Malcolm and Bernice McIntyre, brother Jerry, son-in-law Peter, daughter-in-law Brenda, niece Kelly and many others.

Miss my dad so much already
Love you forever
Katie
Jim was an amazing man with the biggest heart and kindest soul and I was always proud to call him my second dad.
He was a true mentor to me when I entered the Downhole Fishing industry. I could always count on him for advice in some of the toughest situations I encountered anytime of the day. Jim was my inspiration to start my own fishing company in 2015, He told me at the beginning “son, you have too big of a heart to run a fishing company. I told him don’t worry Dad, I got this”
We talked as often as we could, He understood that I didn’t have extra time. I regret not making the extra time to stop in.
Rest In Peace my friend, you will be forever missed but always in our hearts and daily thoughts.
One day we will meet again.
