Jean Isabel Uttke
On January 19th, our beloved Mother Jean Uttke, 76 years young, passed away peacefully in her sleep in Edmonton, Alberta. She was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Raymond Uttke.
Jean Uttke is survived by her son Walter Uttke (Laura), daughter Wilma Millar (Scott), and her 2 grandchildren Julianna Uttke and Corbin Perry, along with her great grandson Beckem Perry.
Jean was born and raised in Bentley, Alberta, alongside her 13 other brothers and sisters. Jean made her way to Cherryville, BC, where she and her husband grew a sawmill & planer mill business together, and raised their family.
Jean will always be remembered for her love of all things music. Singing and playing the guitar alongside her brothers, sisters, families and friends brought her so much joy!
Jean had a zest for the outdoors and loved to camp, hunt, fish and garden. Jean was so full of love and laughter for her family, and was so compassionate towards everyone she met. Jean will be missed greatly and we will love & miss her forever.
Jean touched so many hearts and I feel blessed that one of those hearts was mine. She will be missed but lives on through her children and grandchildren, who emit the beauty that Jean was.
