Mike Krupa

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mike Krupa, who passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 61.

Mike was a man who could never sit still. Always on the move, always curious, and always ready for the next project or new toy, he lived life with energy, determination, and an unstoppable spirit. No matter what challenges came his way, Mike met them head on and kept going.

He will be remembered for his many passions: hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with the people he loved most. But the legacy that will forever define him is the beautiful cabin he built with friends and family, a dream he pursued and completed while bravely battling ALS.

Mike was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) in November of 2024, a devastating moment for our family. True to who he was, Mike refused to let the illness take away his purpose. His greatest dream was to build a cabin, and with unwavering determination and the support of friends and family, he accomplished exactly that. He never allowed ALS to stop him, and he was able to enjoy the cabin he poured his heart into before his passing.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Maureen; his sisters, Judy and Cheryl; and his beloved son, Tanner.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kim; his children, Randi (Dustin) and Brittany (Jeff); and his cherished grandchildren, Koen, Tayden, and Noah. He is also survived by his nephew Al (Tammy) and his best friend of 36 years, Leo.

Our greatest comfort during this time is knowing that Mike is now reunited with his beloved son, Tanner. We also want to express our deepest gratitude to the ALS Society of Canada for their unwavering support, guidance, and compassion throughout Mike’s journey with ALS.

As per Mike’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. A small gathering in his honour will be held on August 8th at Messa Joe’s Taphouse, located at 135 Avenue and 127 Street.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who reached out with love, support, and kindness during this difficult time.
