It is with deep sadness that the family of Mike Noel announces his passing on July 26, 2026, at the age of 64, following a courageous battle with cancer. Mike devoted 21 years of his life to serving in the Canadian Armed Forces, inspiring those around him with his unwavering strength and commitment. After retiring from the military, Mike became a Journeyman Crane operator and was a member of the IUOE 955. He was an avid golfer who found great joy on the golf course and in spending time with his family and friends.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 37 years, Shelley, his son Joshua and daughter Alexandra. He is survived by his siblings, Pierre (Lise Poirier), Normand (Diane Piché), Louise (Michel Langlois), Denis (Andree Marcotte), Danielle (Denis Miller), Guy.

He will be lovingly remembered by his in-laws, Brian and Paula MacNeill, sister-in- laws Cheryl and Wendy (Steve Pankratz), as well as numerous family members and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Paul-Emile Noel and Marie-Mance Rivard

C'est avec une profonde tristesse que la famille de Mike Noel annonce son décès, survenu le 26 juillet 2026, à l'âge de 64 ans, après une lutte courageuse contre le cancer. Mike a consacré 21 ans de sa vie au service des Forces armées canadiennes, inspirant son entourage par sa force et son engagement inébranlables. Après avoir pris sa retraite militaire, il est devenu grutier qualifié et était membre de l'IUOE 955. Passionné de golf, il trouvait une grande joie sur le terrain et en compagnie de sa famille et de ses amis.

Il laisse dans le deuil sa femme Shelley, avec qui il a partagé 37 ans de sa vie, son fils Joshua et sa fille Alexandra. Il laisse également dans le deuil ses frères et sœurs : Pierre (Lise Poirier), Normand (Diane Piché), Louise (Michel Langlois), Denis (Andrée Marcotte), Danielle (Denis Miller) et Guy.

Il laisse dans le deuil ses beaux-parents, Brian et Paula MacNeill, ses belles-sœurs Cheryl et Wendy (Steve Pankratz), ainsi que de nombreux autres membres de sa famille et amis.

Il a été précédé dans la mort par ses parents, Paul-Émile Noël et Marie-Mance Rivard.

Une cérémonie commémorative aura lieu le 16 août à 11 h à la Légion royale canadienne, située au 6, rue Taché, à St. Albert (Alberta).

Au lieu de fleurs, des dons peuvent être faits à Ocumel Canada, une initiative de la Fondation Save Your Skin, 813 800, Vista Park, Penticton (C.-B.), V2A 0B2.

La famille tient à remercier tout particulièrement le Dr Marcus Butler et l'équipe de l'Hôpital Princess Margaret de Toronto, ainsi que les Services de soins palliatifs à domicile d'Edmonton, pour leur dévouement et leur compassion. Elle remercie également les médecins et les infirmières de l'urgence de l'Hôpital communautaire de Sturgeon pour leur gentillesse et leurs soins.
