It is with profound sadness that the family of Olga Mary Hapak (née Yaskiw) announces her passing on July 12, 2026 at the age of 72.

Olga was born on January 18, 1954, in Edmonton, Alberta, to Michael and Julia Yaskiw, who predeceased her. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her devoted husband, Michael Hapak; her daughters, Katrina (Edward) and Alexandra; her sister, Anne (Ron); her brother, Morris (Irene); as well as her many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Bill Yaskiw, in 2013.

Olga had a remarkable gift for bringing people together. Whether family, friends, or neighbours, everyone was welcomed with warmth, kindness, and a generous heart. She loved life, treasured time spent with those she loved, and always put the needs of others before her own. Her infectious laugh, unwavering resilience, and determined spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.

Olga found great joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved cooking for those she loved, tending to her garden, and dancing whenever she had the chance. Her famous nachynka became a cherished tradition at family gatherings, and she expressed her love through the meals she prepared, the flowers she nurtured, and the memories she created with those around her.

Of all her accomplishments, nothing meant more to Olga than her family. Her greatest pride and greatest joy were her daughters, whom she loved unconditionally. She celebrated their successes, supported them through life's challenges, and filled their lives with endless love, guidance, and encouragement.

Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind—the laughter she shared, the traditions she created, the love she gave so freely, and the countless lives she touched through her compassion and generosity.

Olga's legacy of kindness, strength, and unconditional love will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
