Orest Donald Denysowsky
Orest Donald Denysowsky passed peacefully on March 18, 2025 in Sherwood Park at the age of 86.
Orest was born on December 17, 1939 in Radway, Alberta and spent his early years on the family farm at Abee, Alberta. In his teens, he moved to Edmonton where he successfully completed his welding apprenticeship. With his various welding tickets in hand, he worked on major construction and pipeline projects in different parts of Canada. Orest lived a good part of his life in Edmonton where he took employment at “fab-shops” and “shutdowns”.
In his later years, Orest resided at Summerwood Village in Sherwood Park where he brought smiles and laughter to many care workers and staff with his sense of humor.
Orest leaves behind his brother, Larry, (Leticia) brother-in-law Morris Haig, niece Roxanne Danylak (Dale) nephew Robert Haig (Shirley), great nephews, Parker and Connor (Maryssa) Haig and great niece, Crystal Danylak. He was predeceased by parents, Harry and Katie Denysowski, brother Russell and sister Joyce Haig.
Orest is missed but as Rumi said hundreds of years ago: “Death has nothing to do with going away. The sun sets. The moon sets. But they are not gone.”
