Mom quietly and peacefully passed away in the early morning of September 25, 2021 at the Edmonton General Continuing Care Center. Although Mom never caught Covid it is that which ended her life. During the long spells of isolation she simply lost her will to live.

Pauline will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lorraine Jex, Philip (Joan) Allarie and Diane (Troy) Poliakiwski; daughter in law Bonnie Allarie; grandchildren Bruce (Erin) Allarie, Colin (Alicia) Allarie, Kelly (Kimi) Jex, Raeann LaFleur (Jason Lukan) and Dylan LaFleur. Great-grandchildren Skylar, Dakota, Devin, Miles, Nate, Briar & Riley. Brother and sisters-in-law Alcide Allarie, Therese Nelson and Henrietta Allarie and many nieces and nephews.

Pauline was predeceased by her husband Arthur who passed away in March of this year, her son Gerald in 2017, her parents Hilaire and Clara Caouette, her sister Annette and her brother Bobby as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law.

The family would like to thank the staff at Chartwell Griesbach and the Edmonton General Continuing Care Center for their compassionate care.

At Moms’ wish there will be no funeral. In the spring both Pauline and Arthurs’ ashes will be interred at the Jarvie cemetery.

Mom was an avid volunteer in the Glengarry Community and was a supervisor for the Glengarry School’s lunch program until she was 80.

In lieu of flowers please take twenty dollars to the casino. Buy a beer and play a little on the slot machines. Donate your winnings to a school lunch program in her memory. https://www.foodforthoughtedmonton.com/donate

If you are not vaccinated please, please do so now. Let’s stop the toll Covid is taking on our seniors.

  1. I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. Sincere condolences to you and all your family. May she go rest with the Angels.
