Rolande Marie-Ange Borle
Rolande will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 52 years, Gerry, as well as her sisters Evelyne (John), Irène (Paul), Carole (David), Renée (Denis), and brother Gilles (Les), numerous nieces and nephews, and Gerry’s brother and sisters.
Rolande was born in McLennan Alberta and moved to Edmonton with her family in 1967. At University she took courses in sewing and clothing design. In 1973 she married Gerry in a beautiful dress she made herself.
For most of her married life she worked at Land Titles as an Examiner, but her love of fabric and design remained. She always had a hobby and learned jewelry making, worked with tapestries, belonged to the Knitters guild and dabbled in painting.
Rolande was always looking for ways to help the less fortunate. She sewed for the Cross Cancer Society, made over 50 quilts and plus-clothing items, and made pillow cases for WIN house. She volunteered to help set up and work the Fabric Frenzy for the GANG, a group that raises money to support the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
Rolande loved to travel and she and Gerry visited over 40 countries. They had many great adventures.
In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to St Joseph Auxiliary Hospital.

Roland was a very special person, she touched many people in different ways. Always kind and generous and the perfect host. Rest peacefully, and say hi to those gone before you.
So sorry for your loss.
