Ronald Joseph Raymond Lambertus
With deep love and fond remembrance, the family of Ronald Joseph Raymond Lambertus announces his passing.
Born on June 5, 1949, in Montreal, Quebec, Ron was the beloved son of Morgan and Stella (Henley) Lambertus. Devoted to the love of his life, Emilia (Pietromonaco) Lambertus, together they built and raised a loving family and were married for 52 years.
Ron will be dearly missed by his wife Emilia, his children Alysia Korpi (Ross), Ian Lambertus, and Craig Lambertus (Yvonne), his brother Ralph Lambertus (Linda), his brother-in-law Tony Pietromonaco, his nephews Ryan Lambertus, Randy Lambertus, Rhyan Pietromonaco, and many other friends and family.
Ron had an innate curiosity and a gift for sharing knowledge. Originally a teacher after graduating university, he eventually spent 30 years with Canada Post, yet his mind and heart were always drawn to words and ideas; he was a published poet, casual philosopher, and lifelong learner. He was also a voracious reader, a lover of thoughtful films, and never one to turn down a good game of cribbage or cards. A sweet tooth at heart, Ron enjoyed a treat (or three!) and in previous years could often be found on long walks, playing tennis, or leading the Lambertus family on countless road trips across Alberta, Canada, and the U.S.
Ron proudly marched to the beat of his own drum. He was unconventional, principled, intelligent, funny, and charismatic, with just enough stubbornness and fire to make every conversation lively. Always up for a spirited debate, he truly knew “a lot about a lot of things.”
At home, he was the quintessential family man - teacher, chauffeur, cheerleader, and even the designated toboggan for his kids on snowy hills. Ron leaves behind a legacy of curiosity, conviction, and deep affection for those who knew him best. His wit, irreverent charm, and warmth will be remembered always.

My dear friend Emilia and family, my sincere condolences for your loss. May Ron rest in peace.
Our deepest condolences to Emilia and all her loved ones. a big hug.
Dear Emilia, Alysia, Ian and Craig, my wife Marjorie, myself and our three sons extend our heartfelt condolences to you and your extended families on the passing of Ron.
Since our high school days in Ville LaSalle in the 1960s he has been a cherished friend. As you have pointed out in your memory of him he was a good talker, a good debater, a fellow of many interests.
Challenged with deafness since his early years he showed himself to be determined not to let that challenge get in the way of his expressing himself or his ideas. Ron was the ideal person to have as a friend, always loyal always with a cheerful demeanour, always ready to be a little mischievous in a harmless way.
It was Ron who introduced me to his boss at Ogilvy’s Dept store and helped me land a part time and summer job, one that saw me through CEGEP and university and introduced me to other life-long friends.
In short Ron, just being himself, had a profound, beneficial influence on my life and I am forever grateful for that.
Sincerely,
Dave McKeown
