Sandra Lynn Letendre, lovingly known as Sandee to her friends and family, passed away leaving behind a legacy of warmth, friendship, and community spirit.

Born in 1948 in Oxbow, Saskatchewan, Sandee moved to Edmonton in her teenage years, where she would build the life she cherished. It was there that she met the love of her life, her husband Fred. Together they raised two sons, Dan and Chris, who were the pride and joy of her life.

Sandee dedicated many years of service to the Edmonton Journal, beginning at the carrier garage location and eventually becoming Office Manager for the Circulation Department. Her strong work ethic, leadership, and friendly nature made her a valued colleague and friend to many.

A passionate and active member of her community, Sandee loved golf and was proud to help establish the ladies’ club at the Mill Woods Golf Course. She also enjoyed curling and shared countless laughs and memories through her weekly bridge card club, which continued for many years. These gatherings reflected what she loved most — bringing people together.

Sandee was a truly social person who never met a stranger. She loved people, conversation, and connection. Her warmth, kindness, and welcoming spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She leaves behind her devoted husband Fred, her sons Dan and Chris, and many dear friends whose lives were made brighter by her presence.
