TSE, MAN KIN 謝民權

Man Kin “Ken” Tse 謝民權 passed away peaceful on May 11, 2025 in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 97 years. Beloved husband of Bik Yu “Betty” 胡碧瑜 (nee Wu), he leaves behind his brother Man Pui Tse 謝民培 and his wife, and many loving extended family members.

Born in Hoiping, Guangdong Province of China, Ken immigrated to Canada in the early 1960s.

Ken was introduced to Betty in 1966 through mutual family and friends and they married in 1973. The couple settled in Edmonton, and together they built their home, business, and supported their younger siblings and family from afar. Their 52-year marriage together was full of simple pleasures that included tending to their abundant backyard garden, sharing their bounty with friends and neighbours, volunteering in their community, and regular co􏰀ee dates. An avid and knowledgeable sports fan, Ken would look forward to Saturday’s Hockey Night in Canada each and every week.

A hardworking and modest man, Ken lived a humble, honest life rooted in quiet strength, generosity, deep dedication to family, and the joy rice with a well-cooked meal. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
