Alfred Keith Salisbury

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alfred Keith Salisbury, a beloved resident of Edmonton, Alberta. Alfred (Al) departed from this world peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2026, just shy of his 70th birthday.

Born in Didsbury on March 19, 1956, Al led a life enriched with love and dedication. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Ronald Salisbury, his deeply cherished mother Gloria Phylis Salisbury and an older brother and sister who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms into the great beyond.

Leaving home at a young age, Al first worked in the oil patch rising through the ranks to driller, meanwhile helping out in the camp cookhouse ending up as chief cook. Al became a skilled glazier, dedicating his life to mastering the art of creating commercial glass and steel buildings from blueprints. His skilled hands transformed countless pieces of glass into windows and walls, while his leadership left an enduring mark on those who had the pleasure to work alongside him. His commitment to his craft not only provided great beauty but also exemplified his ability to make things happen, much like how he approached life — with vision and patience.

Though his professional achievements were many, it was Al's warmth, humor, and steadfast loyalty to his community and loved ones that those who knew him will remember most. He could find joy in the simple pleasures of life, like camping, fishing and hunting. Whether it was sharing a hearty meal with family and friends, mentoring people in his support group or cycling through the hills and valleys of his home city, he was cherished by those who experienced his generosity of time and support.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Trinity Funeral Home. Al's friends and family are encouraged to gather for a visitation and service on May 2, 2026 at 2:00PM at Trinity Funeral Home (10530 116 Street, Edmonton, AB) to celebrate a life well-lived. In phase with Al’s wishes, a private interment will follow in Lumby, BC for close family members.

We bid farewell to a gentle soul who leaves behind a tapestry of memories woven through kindness and skill. May Alfred Keith Salisbury rest in eternal peace, his spirit forever residing in the hearts of those who loved and knew him.
