October 1938– February 2026

With love and reflection, we share the passing of our father, who lived to the age of 87 passing away February 13, 2026.

Ken leaves three children; sons Murray (Lynn), Bradley (Robbie) and daughter Jody (Dan), three grandchildren; Derek, Nicholas, and Ryan; one great‑grandchild, Ashton; two siblings; former wife Marilyn and her family, as well as nieces and nephews.

Ken was predeceased by his long‑time life partner Grace.

Born to Charles and Agnes, Ken was the middle child having an older brother Mervin (Calgary) and younger sister Marilyn (Edmonton) with aunts, uncles, and cousins in Halkirk, Alberta as well as Seattle, Washington.

Growing up in South Edmonton, he attended Strathcona (Scona) High School before beginning his working years at Edmonton Meats and later finishing his career with Celanese Canada.

Cars were his great love—which he cared for with devotion and pride. He owned many vehicles over the years, each kept immaculate. He loved to drive and loved to drive fast. He also cherished an extensive collection of die-cast cars carefully preserved in his basement – a hobby that reflected his lifelong love of automobiles.

His garage was a place filled with tools and pieces of life he collected on the way - always with immaculate cars parked in the stalls.

Television brought him comfort, especially in retirement. He loved watching Nascar, Barrett-Jackson auctions, The Price is Right and reality police shows.

He had a fondness for small indulgences: Marilyn’s butter tarts, chocolate-covered raisins and later in life, Burger King breakfast sandwiches and the TV dinners that became part of his daily routine.

Ken was a man who lived life in his own way, steadfast in his opinions and clear about what he liked and didn’t like. Though not always deeply involved in the lives of others, his uniqueness left an unmistakable mark.

In his final years, Ken lived at Capital Care Dickinsfield in Edmonton, where he received attentive care. His family is deeply grateful for the support he received.

He will be remembered with affection and will live on in the stories, moments and passions he left behind.
