Dear Dave, Miriam, and Deb,
Our hearts are heavy as we grieve the passing of your beloved Doreen. From the very moment we met her, we felt as if we were part of your family. Doreen had a rare and beautiful gift—she never met a stranger. Her vibrant personality, warm heart, and infectious laughter could light up any room and put everyone instantly at ease.
One of our fondest memories will always be the day she welcomed us to your acreage home in Edmonton and served us our very first taste of Alberta Beef. It was more than just a delicious meal; it was an expression of her love, her hospitality, and her joy in bringing people together.
Doreen and Dave built a strong, loving Christian home and raised two beautiful daughters in faith and love. Her life was a powerful testimony to the goodness of God. We always loved hearing her stories—especially the ones about her playing the accordion, which revealed her joyful spirit and passion for life.
Doreen will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her. Please know that we are lifting each of you—Dave, Miriam, and Deb—in prayer during this time of great loss. May God’s peace and comfort surround you and give you strength in the days ahead.
“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.”
— Matthew 25:23
With all our love and deepest sympathy,
Mike and Shirley Waterhouse
Sending my sincere condolences to the entire family and friends.
Miriam,
We will be thinking of you and your family today as you prepare to lay your sweet mother to rest. How thankful we are knowing y’all have the “great peace” knowing she is with her Lord and Savior.
Love, Harry and Gayle Morton.
“How about a spot of tea” and always quick to make a joke is how I will remember Doreen. I wish her friends and family peace as they navigate life without her. We are both very sorry we could not attend her service due to medical reasons. We knew Doreen a short time but will remember her for a long time. Very glad we neighbours enjoyed a special birthday gathering to celebrate her while she was still here to feel the love. Love lives on..
