Eileen Popadynec

It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of my mother Eileen Popadynec at the age of 86 years in Edmonton, Alberta on March 14, 2026

Eileen was predeceased by her loving husband Dmytro and survived by her daughter, Deborah Kitching, husband Peter and by her two beautiful grandchildren, Andrew and Brittany. Eileen has two sisters, Mary Macri and deceased husband Vince and family, and deceased sister Laura Hity and family.

Eileen was born in Salmo, BC and moved to Edmonton, AB where she lived and worked until retirement. Throughout her life, Eileen was a very talented sewer and made many beautiful items for her grandchildren, family and friends. She loved to travel and craft in her spare time.

As per Eileen’s wishes, she was cremated and will be forever remembered.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff in the Fraser House at the Kipness Centre for their care and compassion.
