It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jonathan George Watsham.

Jon will be remembered by his only child Lindsay (Jason) and 2 grandchildren (Hailey and Jordan), sisters, Susan (Wilf) and Druscilla, brother, Peter (Lynda) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jon was well known for his love of golf, fishing, hockey and many other sports.  He was an amazing floor installer for the majority his life.  A favorite pastime was skiing in the mountains with his daughter.  He was a protector of his sisters while growing up.

A celebration of life will be held in Ontario in August.

  1. Jon was my cousin and I spent the summer school vacation with him and his family every year when in elementary school. We had great times together ❤. I especially remember going to the outdoor pool with him.

  2. My condolences to you Lindsay and family.

I knew Jon for approximately 30 years. I saw Jon almost every week day for most of those 30 years. He would stop by my office for supplies and coffee After he retired he would just come in for an hour or so a day to chat, and to converse with other floor installers. I learned a great deal about his family and his growing up days. For those who hadn’t seen in him in the past years, he was pretty soft spoken, as he spoke mostly about his daughter and grand children. He was a very proud father of Lindsay and grandfather to Hailey and Jordan.
He always liked to talk hockey too!
He was a huge Leaf’s fan and myself a huge Hab’s fan, and yet we were friends.

I will miss those days a lot.

  3. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

  4. Being in the trade, my father and I have been long acquainted with Jon, and I have always enjoyed his wry sense of humor. Though sometimes I did not agree with his view of the world, I still held respect for his conviction.

My sincere condolences to his surviving family, may his remembrance endure.
