With heavy hearts, we announce Judy Bowlby Brooker (Hrabinsky)’s passing on March 21, 2023, at 81 years of age.  Judy passed away peacefully at the Misericordia hospital in Edmonton, Alberta, leaving us for a better place where she will be free from recent health struggles. Judy spent three years in the Air Force and owned Calgary Home Support Services from 1971-2001.  She cared deeply for her staff and was so proud of everyone who worked in the office and the community.  Judy had an ever-loving, kind, gentle, generous spirit.  She loved to travel, see new things, and hear new stories.  Judy always saw the beauty in life and loved everyone.  She brought a sparkle to any room she entered.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Kris (Fred), brother Rick (Agnes), nieces Monique (Reagan), Angela (Bradley), and grandnephews Jonah, Sheldon, Asher, and Francis, dear friend Blanche, and many other friends and family who were so important to her.

A service will be held in her honour at Trinity Funeral Home, 10530-116 street NW Edmonton, AB, on Thursday, April 6th, 2023, at 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s society or charity of your choice, in memory of Judy.

  7. Judy will be sadly missed by us all.
We spent years, summers together at Mara Lake
Dinners, sunny days and parties on and off the boats.
Judy was the queen of meals on the water and ongoing stories and laughs together.
    We miss you Judy

  8. Please accept my condolences to the whole family. She was a very important part of Kalika’s life, as well as Rick’s and I know she will be missed by them as well as the rest of the family. I’m very glad I got to know her just a little at Kalika and Bradley’s wedding. May she rest in peace now that her struggles are over.
