It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, nonna and bisnonna, Liliana Maria (Baggio) Sousa (nee Centis) on June 6th, 2022 at the age of 88.

Survived by her two children David (Giovanna), and Susan. Two grandchildren Mario (Stephanie), Alicia (Armando) and her great grandchild Maddox.

She was predeceased by her husband Mario in 1968 and her sister Mariuchi in 2019.

Liliana leaves behind her sisters Pierina (Anildo), Bruna (Giovannin), Ausilia (Sergio), her cousin Itala (Mario) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Toronto and Italy

Liliana was born on September 23, 1933 in San Vito al Tagliamento Pordenone Italy. In 1958 she left her family behind and came to Canada to start a new life with her true love Mario.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 15th, 2022 at 2:00 pm at St. Dominic Savio Parish, 14406-62 Street NW, Edmonton AB. with Fr. Sagayaraj Devadoss, SDB officiating. A viewing will be held prior to the service at 1:00 pm

Cremation will take place at a later date. A private ceremony will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery where our mother will be laid to rest with our father Mario.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the charity of your choice.
