Richard Joseph John Harasymchuk
With deep sadness the family shares the unexpected passing of Richard on November 22, 2025, at the age of 74.
Richard is fondly remembered by his loving wife, Donna; sons, Rick (Dannielle), and Clint; grandsons Ryan (Razzi) and Cole; sisters, Linda (Marvin) Esak; Debbie (Tom) Watts; and Beverly (Percy) Whittaker; as well as numerous extended family; relatives and friends who will miss him deeply.
Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Richard moved to Edmonton with his family at 11 years old in 1962.
Richard enjoyed a 42 year career as a Teamster Member.
Richard was an avid collector. If he thought it would have value, he collected it. His large collections, to name only a few, included coins, guns, and artwork and prints of some of his favorite artists including Thomas Kinkade. But driving was what he enjoyed most, especially the last few years after retirement. He would insist on driving Donna anywhere she wanted to go.
Richard enjoyed recalling the laughs from the past shared among relatives. His laugh was one-of-a-kind and contagious. He liked to travel and shared his son’s passion for cars.
Richard felt that he had married the women of his dreams and felt blessed to have two wonderful sons and grandsons.
Richard was predeceased by his father, Peter; mother, Ella and both sets of grandparents.
The family wants to thank everyone for their support, prayers and condolences during this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation Registration No. 106846942RR0001) or Diabetes Canada (Registration No. 118830744RR0001) in Richard’s memory.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday December 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Funeral Home (10530-116 Street, Edmonton, AB) with interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery (16102 Fort Road, Edmonton, AB)

It is with deep sadness to hear of Richard’s passing, & I know everyone will miss him dearly.
However he will never be gone, as the memories of all the times you had with him, will carry you through each & every day, until you see him again in Heaven.
I Believe … Richard is not gone, though you’re apart,
He lives in whispers of the heart.
In every breeze, in every light,
He walks with you, just out of sight.
His Laughter lingers in the air,
His love still wraps you everywhere.
Though you must learn to walk anew,
Carry the love he gave to you.
Sending Sincere Hugs from me to you, and asking God to wrap His arms around everyone, while giving you the strength & support to carry on.
With love, Mary-Jane Borden
