Taras (Terry) Pysar
It is with great sadness that on January 30, 2026, Taras Pysar passed away peacefully at the age of 92 years.
Taras excelled in leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met throughout his life. Prior to his retirement, Taras had a 25-year career with Imperial Oil which he was very proud of and which he often remembered with great fondness, especially the many friends he made along the way. He had a long and fulfilling retirement life and enjoyed many activities including golf and travel.
Taras will be dearly missed by his wife of 44 years, Doreen. He was predeceased by his former wife, Wendy, mother of his 3 children James (Sharon) – his grandsons Sean (Sarah) and Ryan, his much-loved great granddaughter Mila, his daughters Bonnie and Kim (Glenn) and his granddaughters Tara and Jean. Taras is predeceased by his parents, Leon and Nancy, his brothers (John and Mike) and sisters (Anne, Mary, Elsie, Stephanie and Madeline), and leaves brothers Marshall and Peter (Adele) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Taras’s family would like to express their gratitude to Bayshore, Alberta Health Services and the many healthcare professionals who made his last few years comfortable.

Our condolences to you Doreen.
The final putt has dropped, the round complete,
Your time on earth, a journey bittersweet.
We mourn the loss, the absence we bear,
The empty fairways, where once you were there.
