Armando Trindade De Sena
Armando Trindade De Sena passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta, at the age of 85, after a long and courageous will to survive his health conditions.
Born in Telhado, Portugal, on February 19, 1940, Armando was raised in a large and loving family with five brothers and one sister. In 1971, he made the courageous decision to immigrate to Canada with his wife, Maria, and young son, Joaquim (Jack), in search of greater opportunity and a better life for his family.
Armando was the embodiment of hard work and dedication. With an unwavering work ethic, he spent his life providing for those he loved. He was a proud and honest man, known for his sense of humor and his generous spirit. Always ready to lend a hand, Armando gave his time freely to family and friends, and his loyalty was unquestionable.
Everywhere he went, Armando was admired for what he stood for—his integrity, strength, and devotion to the people he loved. His presence left an impression that lasted long after he left the room.
His greatest joys in life were his granddaughters, Mia and Samantha, whom he loved to spoil with affection, pocket money, and frequent trips for Slurpees. His love for them was boundless, and they brought him endless pride and happiness.
Armando enjoyed hunting with his friends and cherished the camaraderie of those moments. He also passed down valuable lessons about saving, working hard, and striving to do better—principles that shaped the lives of those he left behind.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Arminda; his son, Joaquim (Jack); and his granddaughters, Samantha and Mia. He is also survived by extended family: Silvee De Sena, Georgina Alves, Joaquim (Elizabeth) Braz, Peter (Maria) Keller, Rui Alves, his brother Joaquim, sister Virginia, and many loving nieces and nephews in Portugal. He was predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers, and son Vitor.
We owe everything we are today to the sacrifices our father made. His love and determination shaped our lives, and we will carry his legacy forward with pride. We will make him proud.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for your support, prayers, and presence during this difficult time.
