Brian McGregor

August 6, 2021 14 Condolences Print Obituary Send Flowers

At the much too young age of 58, Brian McGregor went to take the best seat from above for his beloved Sunday NASCAR races. Wednesday July 28, 2021 Brian suddenly and quickly passed while snorkeling on a tropical holiday.

In addition to being a NASCAR fan, Brian loved his Edmonton Oilers, Toronto Blue Jays, and Saskatchewan Roughriders.  Brian also enjoyed playing softball and loved to play the position of pitcher for several teams.  More importantly than his love for sports, his greatest accomplishments were his two children Kaylynn and Braden.

Brian is survived by his daughter Kaylynn and husband Talon Starrak.  Papa to their children Tenley, and Brynn Starrak.  Son Braden McGregor, Chrissie Draper and her children Hayden and Quinn.  Mother of his children Fay McGregor.  His current life adventure partner Cindy Aarts.

Brian also leaves to mourn his siblings Cameron (Shirley), Diane (Glen) Fode, Michael (Glenda), Susan (Roy) Steidel, Larry (Denise), and David (Stephanie).  Uncle Brian had waaaaay too many nieces and nephews both by direct family relation and family by choice.

Predeceased by his mother Elsie (Russ) Bohne and father Jack McGregor.

Although Brian is still currently on vacation in the Dominican Republic arrangements will be made upon his return to celebrate his life both in Edmonton and Medicine Hat.

Please raise a glass of rum in remembrance to toast Brian!

He was a great friend and ball coach. He helped me improve my ball game and was always so kind to our son. I hope you and Al are up there reminiscing about good times.
