Wayde Allan Lever
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Wayde Allan Lever at the age of 56.
Wayde was born on December 3, 1969 in Grande Prairie Alberta. He was the first born to Len and Debbie Lever. At the age of 13 months, Wayde was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. However, he never let the disability define him or his life.
Wayde surprised his parents by going out and finding his own apartment. Once he settled in, he put himself through college. Upon graduating, he started doing contract work for various charities.
In 1998, he got his first full time position with The Cerebral Palsy Association of Alberta. He went on to work for various charities until 2011. It was then, Wayde decided to put his name forward in politics. He became a member of the Wildrose Alliance Party and was selected as the candidate for MLA of Edmonton Highlands-Norwood in the April 2012. He also ran for a School Board Trustee seat with The City of Edmonton.
In 2016, Wayde started his aspirations to become a "sit down" comedian. He performed and hosted many shows throughout Edmonton. He even did shows in Red Deer to spread his love of laughter.
Wayde is survived by his mother Debbie (Holden) Lever, wife Lori Lever, sister Rorie (Gino) Mazzuca, niece Sarah Mazzuca, nephew Landin Mazzuca, aunt Judy Holden, aunt Holly (Brian) Paulson, as well as numerous cousins and close friends.
He is predeceased by his father Leonard Lever, maternal grandparents, Walton and Marie Holden, paternal grandparents, Russell and Edna Lever, as well as numberous aunts and uncles.
We would like to thank the staff at Capital Care Norwood Hospice for the care and compassion over the last two months.

“My nephew My hero”
Your laughter will always be the best memory.
I would have coffee with Wayde at West Edmonton Mall early mornings for the past number of years. He was very smart and good to talk to. His sense of humour was always present in our talks and him and I had a love for good food in which we would share our opinions.
I will miss him. Wayde, May your memory be eternal.
