One of the finest people I have ever known. Hundreds of fond memories of the years at Pineland with him and Peggy. I just spoke to him a couple of months ago and he was still a friend and a blessing. He is with the Lord where we will see them again
I wish I could be there to celebrate Jake’s life. He left an amazing legacy to so many including me. We will be praying for the family. However, what a reunion in heaven with Peggy and his three sons. Blessings to all of you.
Pastor Jake was a faithful servant of God, deeply grounded in the love of God and who ministered God’s Grace to the last of his strength. It was a privilege to serve as the pastor of one of the churches he attended and hear him preach, particularly his funeral messages. May God welcome home this good and faithful servant.

Pastor Jake was our interim pastor at Rabbit Hill Baptist Church. He and Peggy epitomized Christian love and care along with the uncompromised preaching of God’s word. I enjoyed reading his daily devotions that he so faithfully sent out and enjoyed a visit with him earlier this spring. While I’m saddened to hear of his passing I am also so very thankful for the gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to which Pastor Jake faithfully preached and lived throughout his many years of ministry.
To all three sisters – Bekah, Susan, & Sarah – May you encourage and lean on each other, knowing you each will grieve differently, but the Lord will walk with you through this difficult time, and you’ll know real joy again soon.
Love to you all,
Lois LaGrone Brockelman
I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your father. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this incredibly difficult time.
Losing a parent is one of life’s greatest sorrows, and I can only imagine the pain and loss you must be feeling. I hope you can find comfort in the love you shared and in the memories that will forever remain in your heart.
Please know that you’re in my thoughts and prayers. If there’s anything you need or if there’s any way I can support you, don’t hesitate to let me know. Take all the time you need—your well-being comes first.
With sympathy and care,
Gio
Pastor Jake and Peggy were instrumental in our family and church. I could always turn to Jake as an example of a pastor who didn’t give up. I will still look to him as an example of a man who lived and finished well. I thank God that Jake and Peggy could minister to us here at Wiesenthal.

I remember Jake musing that he wanted to die “with his boots on”. He truly did! He served God wholeheartedly to the end. He loved people. He was such an example and we will miss him and his hearty laugh!
Dear Sarah and Family,
Holding you in my heart, my sincere condolences.

The Leverette family has always been an important part of my life ever since they moved to Wetaskiwin. Both Peggy and Jake played a large role in my Christian walk. I’m sorry that I’m unable to attend Pastor Jake’s memorial and my prayer is that Rebekah, Susan and Sarah will find themselves wrapped in the arms of Jesus during this most difficult time. Love and hugs, Sheila Mallard❤️🙏
I have never met a more Godly man than Pastor Jake. He and Peggy were a joy to be around and I am so thankful I had the privilege of knowing such amazing people. I can still hear Jake’s laugh which was as big as Texas itself. Thank you for Blessing us with your presence on this earthly plain Jake. I can only imagine your joy at finally meeting your saviour face to face.
Jake and Peggy were the epitome of a Godly pastor and wife team. They and the entire Leverette family will always hold a special place in our hearts. We had so much fun with Jake in his days at Pineland Baptist and he did such a wonderful job in building that church up.
